Welcome to the Cardiff Council Illustrated Plant Guide
The Cardiff Council plant guide (also know as the horticultural database) is a photographic archive of plants and trees at over 25 locations throughout Cardiff. Between 2003 and 2010, Terry Davies took over 5000 photos of over 2000 different plants and trees. Since Terry retired in 2010, the plant guide is no longer maintained.
In September 2013, a new page was developed to browse the photo archive, as there was a requirement to update the technology used, and at the same time maintain the hard work put in to create this database.
You can view park information in the left-hand menu. Click the Plants tab, where you can filter and search for plants by park, category and month. The search text will search the Plant Name, Common Name and Plant Information data. There is no need to use the back button on this site.
